DTF printing FAQ
Everything people ask us before their first order.
What are DTF transfers?
DTF (direct-to-film) transfers are full-color designs printed on a special film with white ink and adhesive powder. You press them onto a garment with a heat press, and they work on cotton, polyester, blends, canvas, denim and more. No weeding, no screens and no minimums.
How fast can I get my DTF transfers?
Orders approved by 6:00 PM are printed the same day and ready the next business day. Need your transfers today? Upload by 12:00 PM and add same-day rush (+$15). Rush is for transfer sheets only; finished shirts follow our normal timing. Our printer runs every day and never sits clogged, so we don’t have “printer down” delays.
Do you deliver for free?
Yes. Delivery is free in College Point (11356), with no minimum. Everywhere else we ship with USPS Ground Advantage or UPS through Pirate Ship for a flat $6 for transfers, $12 with shirts, and it’s free on orders over $150. You can also pick up in College Point by appointment.
How much do DTF transfers cost?
We sell 12" × 12" sheets. One sheet is $5, and the price per sheet drops as you order more, down to $3.50 each from 25 sheets. All the sheets in your order count together, even with different designs.
I don’t have my sheets laid out. Can you do it?
Yes, and it’s free. Send us your designs with the sizes and quantities you want, and we fit them on as few sheets as possible. We send you a proof before we print.
What file should I send?
A transparent PNG at 300 DPI, at the real print size, works best. PDF, AI, EPS, PSD and SVG are fine too. See our DTF file setup guide.
How do I press DTF transfers?
Most of our transfers press at 300–315 °F for 10–15 seconds with medium pressure, then peel and repress for 5 seconds. Full steps are in our pressing guide.
Do you sell finished t-shirts?
Yes. We print and press them for you, starting at $12 each in quantity, with no minimum. See custom t-shirts.
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can order a single 12" × 12" sheet for $5, and custom shirts start at one piece.
Do you check my files?
Yes. We check every file for resolution, transparency and white backgrounds. If there is a problem, we contact you before printing, not after.
What if my transfers don’t press well?
Text or call us with a photo. If it’s a print defect, we reprint it free. Most pressing problems come down to temperature, time or pressure, and we will walk you through it.
How do I pay?
Pay online when you order, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe’s secure checkout. Or pay with Zelle to (917) 702-5432, putting your order number in the memo. We start printing as soon as the payment arrives.
Do you print on hats, bags and hoodies?
Yes. DTF works on hoodies, tote bags, caps (with a hat press), aprons and more. Just tell us the product and the size of the design.
